Good morning, Okemo fans, it's Noah bringing you our first Saturday report of the year. To bring everyone up to speed, Abby is in Disneyland, getting her yearly dose of the "Happiest Place on Earth" while I get to stay here in my happy place. 😊 It's hard to believe that one week ago, we were anxiously awaiting Okemo's opening day, gathering our gear and kicking ourselves for not keeping things organized when they were packed away last spring. 🤦♂️
In just 7 days, we went from 0 trails to 38. 💯 We saw a significant increase in trails on the Main Face along with the addition of Solitude, and Jackson Gore isn't too far off. While the opening day was later than we all hoped, the entire team kicked things in high gear to open natural terrain on day one, hammer snowmaking to add tons of new trails, and, most importantly, get uphill travel going in record time. ☑️ With a bit of help from Mother Nature, the snow conditions have been top-notch, and not just first tracks, which tends to be my focus. I have heard from everyone that week one has been impressive! Stay tuned for today's morning hike, I was solo today, which means you get some thoughtful contemplation and reflection... 🙌
