Good morning, Okemo fans; it's Noah back with an early morning adventure and some stoic philosophy for you on this frigid Sunday morning. Before we dive in I wanted to let you know about the Okemo Valley Holiday Express. This is a holiday train ride through the Okemo Valley, a great way to stay warm today and enjoy our winter wonderland. I know it is last minute but there are a few tickets still available for today's afternoon rides.

I resonated with this quote today while hiking up with Hannah's brother Sam, who I worked with years ago when he was a kid fresh out of high school and I was still a kid in my early 20s. Both of our paths since then were not exactly what we expected or imagined at the time. Yet, that is how life works. We set out on a path and inevitably need to backtrack, take detours, and stop to ask for directions. Often times we get hung up on our expectations instead of appreciating the path and experiences that let us to where we are.
With all of that being said, we knew our journey this morning was going to be chilly but well worth it. I am a firm believer that there is never bad weather, just inadequate gear. Extra layers, face protection, warm mittens, and hot coffee all made today's excursion a breeze.
