Merry Christmas from Okemo! 🎄 This is Abby serving up the merriest holiday report. We hope you are all enjoying your holiday, whether it's with friends, family, pets, coworkers, or your not-so-awesome in-laws. 🥰
I'm having a pretty perfect Christmas Day. ❤️💚 Currently, I'm sitting in front of the fire, snuggling with my dogs, while Danny tidies up our home post-Christmas morning chaos and my sister Avery bakes oatmeal chocolate cookies NO RAISINS for the Schmidt Family Christmas Party tonight (they don't know we're bringing their favorite cookie, so please keep it between us). 🍪
The three of us are on our own this Christmas, which meant more ski time and less family drama time. Just kidding, our family isn't dramatic at all... ha. ha. ha. 😅 I will miss my brother's entire recitation of The Christmas Story, though, and my mom's "Wow, you got me exactly what I wanted" face when she opens her 1,000th candle. 🩵
Back to the skiing part! We feel so grateful to be able to spend Christmas on the slopes, plus, it was an absolutely gorgeous day. With bluebird skies, great conditions, no lift lines, and warmer-than-expected temperatures, we had ourselves a merry little Christmas. ❄️
Last night, we spent Christmas Eve with The Boot Pros, aka Shon, Alex, Haley, and Luke! 🎿 Spending the holiday with their family has become our new tradition, and they've so graciously taken us in like their own. 💚
I'm sure everyone can relate to the tinge of sadness you experience being apart from your family during the holidays... it can be hard, so we are so grateful to be included in their family traditions. Thank you, Shon & Alex, for the thoughtful gifts and special dietary-friendly meals, too. Your family is the best! 🥰
