Good morning, Noah here, back at it with another Sunday report for you. It's been a long week and I needed some extra sleep today, so instead of a 6 am hike, I took advantage of the special Epic Pass Holder First Tracks, which meant lifts were open on the main face at 7 am. Plus, it was presented by Helly Hansen, so it was an easy decision. Today, I got some quality father-son time and enjoyed the first few laps with my dad, Bruce, also the General Manager here at Okemo. When your dad runs the mountain, he knows a lot of people, and even more people know him, even guests riding the chair will recognize him, but over the past few years, that has slowly changed. Today, we hopped on the Sunburst and were immediately greeted by some Unofficial fans who knew me and not him, let's keep that up, folks, it's great ammo for our family group chat!
We will dive into skiing conditions a bit more below but overall, things are great! The consistent natural snow has done wonders for the snow quality, and the little bit of fresh snow last night was a great bonus. On busy weekends, things will get skied off; there is no way around that, but getting out early, sticking to edges of trails, or taking the pass less traveled gives you a better shot at having the best runs throughout the day.
