Apologies for the late report today folks! We’ve had a bit of a crazy day here at the Unofficial Okemo office (which is actually just my couch). This is Abby with your Friday night snow report coverage. 🎙️

So, what’s with the late report, you ask? Boy, do I have a story for you. But only keep reading if you care to. If you’ve been a subscriber for a while, I’m sure you’ve heard me mention my dog-daughter, Maple. 🐶🍁 On Wednesday, she made the bold decision to eat what looks like 10-12 logs of wood from our recent firewood delivery. By night, she required emergency attention all the way up in Burlington. At 4 am, she was discharged and was on the mend. ❤️‍🩹 This morning, as I began getting ready to get first chair at 9 am, Maple started having some unpleasant upchuck and droppings, let’s say. As a concerned dog mom, it was back to the vet we went. I’m happy to say Maple is now safe and healthy, and her x-rays show her belly is in good shape. I’ve learned that 1. I should probably get pet insurance, 2. Kiln-dried firewood apparently tastes really great to dogs, and 3. Even old dogs can teach themselves new tricks, like sparking a new interest in swallowing the whole dang cord. 🪵

Noah graciously carved out time during his busy day at the Open Door office to get out on the slopes. He’s always there for me when I need him. I hope everyone has a friend like Noah. 💙
