55. Saturday, February 1st
Good morning, folks, and Happy February! Today's adventure was a classic. I was joined by Connor and Joe, some of the guys I've been hiking with for over a decade. I was as prepared as ever with a wake-up call at 5:10 am. Pack was ready, skins were dry, and coffee was made, I was even the first one to the parking lot. We slapped our skins on and were off. It was a popular day for the uphill crowd; we must have seen over a dozen folks getting after it with the fresh snow.

Some of you may not know, but the owners of The Boot Pro are my aunt and uncle. When they started this little ski shop in 2008, I had just turned 14 years old and started working for them on weekends and holidays. I learned a lot from my uncle over the years: how to replace a buckle on a ski boot, how to sell a ski, and, most of all, the importance of customer service. To this day, I don't know how he remembers the names of so many of his customers.
From that small little shop to the business he and his wife created, at the end of the day, people sought him out because of the quality of service and personal connection that he and now his staff have created with their customers. Whether you have been there since the 90s or last week, they are there to set you up for success.
Today's report is made possible with the support of The Boot Pro Ski Shop!
