62. Sunday, February 9th

Good morning, folks. I hope you are reading this while sitting on the couch, relaxing after a full day on the hill, because if you missed today's conditions, you missed one of the perfect powder days at Okemo. A few things need to come into play for a day like this, and it doesn't come around often. We have a great base, the temps were cold so the snow was soft and fluffy, The storm occurred overnight which meant it didn't get skied out as it was snowing, and while we always love big storms it was the perfect amount of snow for the pitch at Okemo, too much snow and you can't get any speed. However, our snowboarding friends will want to pick their runs carefully to avoid getting stuck on the flats. I haven't had a day like this since I was the Official Snow Reporter back in 17/18.

Conversation from today's hike: "My wife said, it is pretty impressive our water heater keeps up with four showers back to back." 12 hours later, the water heater was leaking... We got it stopped, called one of your sponsors (Master), and they had it replaced in no time.
