Happy Snow Day to all who celebrate... which I'm sure is all of you if you've subscribed to this snow report. đ I can't believe that there are people out there who don't like snow... it's beautiful, fun to play in, and provides me with access to my favorite hobby. Send this to a non-snow-loving friend and maybe it'll change their mind. Anyway, this is Abby with your Monday snow report! Okemo got a whopping 8 inches of heavy, wet snow last night and I of course had to go take a few laps. Keep reading for my full report. âŹď¸

While it was definitely not a powder day, it's a relief to see more snow this early in the season to help build up the base. The 8 inches we got were packed down quickly by Okemo's grooming team, which I was happy about because the snow likely would have been too heavy to enjoy. I took my first lap on Upper Sapphire to Route 103 and then dropped into Lower Arrow. The snow was soft and was sticking to my skis, causing some traction issues in places. đ§ However, Nor'easter skied totally differently for me. It didn't feel as sticky, probably due to the steeper pitch. Nor'easter gets the trail pick of the day for me and it was my first time riding it this season! Upper World Cup to Lower Chief had really great coverage, skied well, and was quite fast considering the wetter snow. After three runs, my legs had enough after the ridiculous lower-body workout I forced myself to do yesterday in hopes I could get my ski legs back. How are your quads doing? đ
Today's Quick Facts:

I'd like to give a shoutout to our subscriber, Jerry aka @baldmanrideth, for joining me on two chairlift rides and for all of the kind comments about our reports. Jerry skis 100+ days a year and documents it! Give him a follow for way cooler content than ours. Also, shoutout to my bestie Chef Mayo (at @homestylehotel) for taking me out on a nice Monday morning ski date. If you haven't dined at Homestyle Hotel in Ludlow, I truly do not know what you are waiting for... book a table now, trust me.
Pro Tip: Pack a mini water bottle with you. I do and everyone is jealous.
In closing, I'm so happy I have the opportunity to ski on a Monday morning for my job, but I'm even more grateful for my friends at The Boot Pro. 𫶠I'll be writing a more lengthy and in-depth report on my experience with bootfitting from the pros, but for now, I have to tell you that it has changed my life. I'm not being dramatic. đ Honestly, with my stance and knee issues corrected (I'll get into this more later), my fitted boots now make me feel like I could beat Mikaela Shiffrin. I recommend bootfitting to anyone who skis more than a couple days a year, and especially to those with any weird knee rotations or pain/issues. Getting lined up in your boot and ski makes all the difference. Thanks, Boot Pro! Love y'all.
