Happy Closing Weekend! ❤️ What a fantastic season we've had here at Okemo, but before we get too sentimental (we'll save that for tomorrow's report), here's a lil treat for our y'all. 🍭 We are closing out our final Saturday snow report with a special report from someone you all know. Greetings, Unofficial Okemo skiers and riders! Sammy B here. 👋

It is an honor and a privilege to be writing an end-of-the-season snow report for the team at Unofficial Okemo. For those that don’t know me, I’m Sammy Blanchette (Sammy B), a lifelong Okemo skier dating back to 1993, born and raised in Connecticut, now a full-time resident in Ludlow and a seasonal employee for Okemo and a year-round full-time musician. 🎶

The 2023/2024 is coming to a close this weekend, and even with the gloomy weather the last couple of days, the snow is still great on the main face. 👏

This past week has seen lift access via Base Quad B, Sunburst 6, and the F-10 carpet. Guests and weekly regulars have had the pleasure of enjoying beautiful coverage still on favorites like Chief, World Cup, Mueller’s Run, Sapphire, and Timberline….just to name a few. Spring-like temps have made the coverage soft and fun!!! 🧈

This winter was my first as a ticket scanner for Guest Services on the mountain. 🎟️ 4 - 5 days a week, it has been a pleasure greeting and interacting with the guests as they truly see what it means to be a part of the Okemo experience. 😁

Seeing it with my own two eyes, 👀 the entire team at Okemo starting with Upper Management/Mountain Ops and all across the board deserve major props. In the last 2 years or so, Mother Nature has certainly not been the kindest to us. ☔️ As the Northeast ski resorts continue to face weather challenges more and more each winter, our team at Okemo continues to deliver and outperform in so many ways to ensure we all enjoy the best skiing and riding possible. 🏆

One thing that really stood out to me this year was how much fun our team was having working together and engaging with our guests. 😎 Special shoutout to Bruce Schmidt (VP and GM) and Eb Kinney (Sr. Director of Mountain Ops) for displaying incredible leadership as always and being prime examples of the ultimate team players. 🤝
